The Trail Area Health & Environment Program is a comprehensive, collaborative, science-based program to help keep children and families healthy and safe.
We are a resource for Health Professionals.
We offer primary prevention in-home visits to families with children under three years of age (or expectant parents) in Trail, Casino, Oasis, Rivervale, Waneta and Warfield. THEP provides free voluntary blood tests for children under three years old to check levels of lead in the blood. Annual blood lead testing is recommended by the Medical Health Officer. If levels are elevated, we follow up with support.
