Trail is home to one the world’s largest lead and zinc smelting and refining facilities. People living in the Trail area may be exposed to higher levels of lead (Pb) in their environments. Lead levels have decreased substantially over the past several decades, but additional awareness and actions are still warranted. Primary care providers are important partners in providing trusted information and guidance for expectant families.
