How important is collaboration to reducing exposure to lead in the community?

THEP’s combined efforts are a driver for a healthy community, healthy children and healthy air, working together across all levels of government, industry and community. THEP has greatly reduced exposure to lead in the community over time. No single organization or agency could do this alone. These combined efforts for longer than 30 years are leading to improved air quality and health outcomes for children. Trail is seeing the lowest children’s blood lead levels ever recorded. Since 2020, lead in community air consistently meets the world’s strictest standards (US EPA).
