What is the average blood lead level in Trail?

The average blood lead level for children aged 6-36 months, living in Trail and Rivervale, has been under 3 micrograms per decilitre since 2018. In 2022, the average blood lead level for this same group was 2.3 micrograms per decilitre. There is no comparable Canadian average. However, for slightly older children (3-5 years of age), it’s less than 1 micrograms per decilitre. This older age group would be expected to have slightly lower levels than children under 3 as they have less hand-to-mouth interaction.
